RetroMenu - an universal emulator front end and a software collector's database system
The RetroMenu-project is my personal open source software project, it's hosted at the SourceForge.net:
Please note that this software is still in a (late) pre-alpha phase. Most of the features are already implemented but they are not yet finished for most end users. This software is currently tested only on Linux-desktop environments. This is my personal hobby so I develop this software occasionally - when I have the time and the inspiration. If you're insterested in participating to the RetroMenu-project, don't hesitate to contact me.
This is an initial step-by-step screen shot guide describing some of the main features of the RetroMenu system. RetroMenu is an universal emulator front end and a software collector's database system. An universal emulator front end is an front end that can be configured to use multiple different emulators emulating different platforms. A platform is a computer or a game console system such as Commodore 64 or Colecovision. I use this software almost on daily basis to keep track of my physical game collection as well as my virtual game collection. Data and files can be assigned to each collection item. Collection items are the main objects of the RetroMenu-system.
A collection item consists of (obligatory data is marked with a * )
